As I have go through, the barrels began to receive the “WP” at all-around 1905, and then by 1908 both the receiver and barrel had been stamped With all the “WP”. Had been assembled receivers and barrels proved like a unit (to get the “WP”), or were being barrels proved employing a check receiver? If analyzed being an assembled receiver & barrel, I could comprehend stamping both of those concurrently, but at what point could be the evidence applied, subsequent to the ultimate metal sprucing but just before the bluing?
